Lithops are more finicky than staghorn ferns. They will actually turn to mush if it's too humid in your house.

Something tells me the chairs are black plastic wicker reproductions, but it would be so amazing if they were some sort of knit wool.

Wattle fencing would act like a snow/sand fence and hold blowing snow/sand in which ever way the wind blows, so the construction would have to support the weight and take into account wind patterns (which hedgerows and wattles were originally designed for btw).

I agree with repurposing the kudzu vines, but one of the reasons willow is so popular is because it can be cut and rooted in another place to grow a new tree, which is the purpose of a wattle, to grow a living fence out of the parent material. Caution would need to be taken to dry them out or kill them with something "safe" (horticultural vinegar?).

I love how these two photos basically look exactly the same. If you were to remove the cars and scaffolding from the modern image, it would look like the 1914 image, just a (strangely) deserted street in Paris.

Well this just sounds ridiculous. What about people who use forks everyday and don't have overbites. And what about native tribes in South America and Africa who don't use forks and do have overbites

It's good to see this look becoming more modern again. The traditional black scandinavian houses are very lovely.
