Check first if she has neutropenia. I did when I had cancer, and I couldn't eat a lot of different foods, not just fresh/uncooked but also some particular juices, like grapefruit, and kimchi, anything fermented, etc. Be very careful. Good Meals For a Young Mother Fighting Cancer? Good Questions |

I made a vegan version, and it’s HEAVEN. I’m not vegan, I just didn’t have eggs and butter and prefer not to eat animal proteins for health reasons. This turned out amazing and I actually prefer this to the original: Recipe: No-Knead Challah |

I made this with flax seed instead of eggs and also let it rise for 5 hours instead of 2 hrs. Result was AMAZING. My god, why would I ever buy bread ever again? Recipe: No-Knead Challah |

In Korea, I used to eat Asian pears because they weren't as expensive and small as they are here. They were huge, juicy, incredibly sweet and crispy fruits. Oh how I miss them. What Can I Cook With Asian Pears? Good Questions |

LEMON! Tie a lemon on a string and place it near - VERY near - the TP, or spray the whole area with pure lemon juice, just place lemon everywhere around the TP area. We moved from Chicago to DC. We took just these: laptop, computer, clothes, important documents, books we love, kitchen stuff I couldn't part with because I love cooking. So take just the essentials and stuff you just can't part with. Cost us under a thousand to move everything via FEDEX as WELL as get us tickets to transport ourselves. And it was partly paid for by the furniture we sold on craigslist. Moving: Pack it or Replace it? |

I lived for 5 years in a very bad apartment in Chicago, where, you know, your snot freezes in the winter. I took out all of my plastic grocery bags, and wedged them in between window cracks with a butter knife. The difference was amazing. Then, when it got really cold (-13 degrees), I bought cellophane and lined the windows with it (the outer edges beyond any cracks), made sure there were no cracks, and blow dried it until everything was tight. Hope that helps. It was NECESSARY for me. DIY Ways to Insulate Windows? Good Questions |

I lived in a bad area of Chicago alone as a female. I lived in absolute fear that turned into numbness, but that never means it got any safer - I just felt numb to it. I suggest you ditch this place, because your only other alternative is putting up fake alarm company stickers on your window (doesn't work) or having your curtains closed pretty much all the time (depressing). it's not worth it. Take it from someone who's done this for 3 years - after that, all you ever want is a safe building in life. Tips to Help With New Studio Safety Concerns? Good Questions |
