I dig chalkboard walls, but I think perhaps the "10 Uses" title is a bit unwarranted here.

I thought the point of the rotator rod was that, unlike the typical concave-only shower rods, this would rotate and lock into either a concave or convex position. I haven't seen that feature before, so I dig it (I'm a hep cat that way, daddy-o).

Then again, perhaps I'm just not up on the latest bathroom gizmos. Could be that you all have this already, along with mirrors that etch today's news in the fog and scales that knock off pounds depending on your mood.

It's the future, I tells ya!

Great entries. To me, the standouts are the Rotator Rod by Colleen O'Connell, for it's innovation and practicality, and the Chad Bed by BOA, which is a gorgeous combination of usefulness and amazing design.

The link to Alice Lyons' staircase poem is broken. Remove the trailing slash to avoid a 404 error.

Textile Arts always has a great selection of Marimekko textures, and I particularly love their ready-to-assemble hanging kits.

Two things to note: they won't ship the kits outside the U.S. (but they will ship just the fabric so you can frame it yourself). Also, their prices are generally higher than you can find the fabric elsewhere (but they have the convenience of a large selection for one-stop shopping).

The good news is: I bet a lot more of those old albums are available digitally than you'd think.

For instance, Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye on CD is just a quick Amazon search away...

Holy moly, your digs are amazing. I particularly love the glass walls -- what an inspired choice!

Absolutely incredible transformation. Amazing job, and a pitch-perfect final piece.

What fantastic digs! I just love all the attention to detail and color. (Or colour, as us Canucks say.)

I particularly love the bathroom, which isn't something I find myself saying that often.

Just an amazing transformation of a layout that could so easily have been the standard boring beige box; instead it's a wonderfully expressive and inviting home. Great job!

What an interesting, eclectic home! It really expresses the personality of the owner. It isn't just design for design's sake (not that I'm against that), but rather design to reflect an individual. I love it.

I agree with the earlier (now censored?) comment that the photography quality is lower than usual for A.T., but I suppose that's the nature of a volunteer site: you work with the equipment you have, and sometimes it's going to be an over-exposing camera-phone. The fact that this great home is filled with personality still shines through.

I particularly like the musical elements: not just centred around the drum kit, but sprinkled throughout the home as if the occupants are ready to break into a tune at any moment.
