My new place has all of these things well within 1 mile - and the walk is on nice shady sidewalked residential streets. I love not being chained to the car!

@FengShuiByFishgirl - Looks like it's stuff he uses to make things. I *always* regret it when I throw away craft supplies...inevitably I need whatever it was a month later. I see nothing wrong with creative storage for crafting supplies!

I am so curious about the circle-y bit on the floorplan between the bedroom and closet. What is that?

I'm in love. Your drafting table/flat file area is fantastic, the lofted bedroom, the exposed timbers. *sigh*

I like this home (especially the tv cart, love!) but the photography is horrific. I'm not sure what kind of faux-hdr/high contrast/high clarity filter was applied but it makes my brain bleed.

In my area, bargaining when you meet to sell something is very bad form indeed. The only ways I could see it being acceptable are if:
1) the ad states 'or best offer' or 'price negotiable'
2) the item is not as described or pictured
3) the buyer made it clear they were only coming to look at the item, not to buy it at the advertised price

I've bought and sold many things on CL (love it!) and only ever haggled over email.

I'm guilty of book jenga as well. I probably have 20-25 books stacked on my bedside table(a couple of stacked vintage suitcases) right now. There's just enough room left for my glasses, hair binders/sticks and my waterbottle.

@ hethyr - I have an old wooden treasure chest next to the bed for that purpose. Works wonderfully.

I'm no interior designer, but I love playing with google sketchup and I've lived in tiny spaces before. Here's what I'd do:

With this setup it would work to have a small desk near the door to double as your TV or you could put a desk in the closet. I'd personally keep the closet for storage though.

A couple more views!

How To Arrange Furniture In Studio Apartment?
Good Questions

I love low beds, they seem so much more serene. My favorite bed was 6" off the floor (I built the frame myself). I wish I hadn't sold it when I moved out of state. :(

I love furniture and accessories (though the ones in this post seem pretty normal to me.)

I have a camel saddle in my bedroom with a full length mirror propped up on it (people never know what it is) and some antique suitcases as a bedside table. Use whatever you have that works, I say.

Jenn Zynn: the proper spelling is 'leery'. Wary could also be used in that sentence.

First thing I did when moving into my current place was replace the straight rod with a curved one. (a much cheaper, non swivel version) I need extra elbow room to deal with my long hair.

Not quite understanding why you would need to turn the rod the other way, I just leave the curtain open if I feel I need more space in the rest of the bathroom.
