I have the Grohe, although in stainless and not chrome. I absolutely love it! We were looking for a single hole pull down faucet that didn't break the bank (there are surprisingly few that aren't hideous) and ended up with this one. Ours doesn't have the magnetic feature to put the sprayer back into position, but it really hasn't been a problem at all.

I love the droid app for searching craigslist, it's how my husband was able to find an Addams Family pinball machine well under market price for my birthday. I'm still on the hunt for the elusive card catalog, they get snapped up immediately. I will have a bunch of different searches going, with different wording for the same items (couch vs. sofa, dining table, kitchen table, etc.) so that I can try and catch everything. The only downside is that then you have to go through a LOT of crap to find the good stuff.

I also generally bargain beforehand, unless the item is really in not great condition.

Totally random, but I had Donna as my jewelry making teacher back at MassArt. Who knew I'd be seeing her house on AT!

The first Thanksgiving my husband and I hosted was in 2007, and we've been doing it ever since. Our first one we had to borrow a ton of dishes from my mom (I ended up registering for a lot of the same stuff when we got married), as well as an extra table because there were 9 of us and a baby.

We always do the turkey and a number of other things, but also have people bring other dishes, including a "leftovers turkey" since most of the time the one turkey is not enough for everyone to take some home after the meal. We also have people bring their own Tupperware so they can take leftovers, and they don't disappear with all of your Tupperware.

I take the day before off to do a lot of my prep work, and also do a crazy house cleaning the weekend before (we have two cats and a few people who are allergic to cats), and then a basic cleaning the day of.

Buffet style makes things easy, especially if your table isn't big enough to hold everyone and all the food.

Hey Kyle,

I actually can shed some light on Chelsea, as I have lived there for just over a year. My husband and I went to school in Boston and never left, we've lived in Fenway, Brighton, Somerville, and ended up in Chelsea because we wanted to buy a loft.

Chelsea totally gets a bad rap, which I personally think is undeserved. Chelsea is super close to the city (you can drive downtown in 15 minutes in no traffic, you certainly can't do that from Allston, JP, Cambridge, or Somerville). While it's not on a T line itself, there are a TON of buses that will either take you directly into the city, or to the blue line, and then it's just 2 stops to downtown. Street parking isn't a problem over there, although automobile theft/breakins can sometimes be an issue, depending on what you drive and where you live. But the same can be said for parts of Boston as well.

Chelsea is also really close to 93, 90, and route 1, which makes it easy to get anywhere outside of the city as well. Throw in the $.30 tolls for the tobin bridge for Chelsea residents and it makes having a car really easy.

When living in apartments we never had super great or truly terrible neighbors. One was a friend of a friend who would check in on our cats when we went out of town and vice versa.

When we bought our condo last summer in an "up and coming" (to put it nicely) area, we made really good friends with some neighbors in the building, about 7 months after moving in. We see them at least 3 days a week, have family style dinners, go to movies, etc. We also look after one another's pets and are already talking about vacationing together, as we are more than just neighbors, we are very close friends. Since they moved in around the same time we did I know we will all be living in the same complex for quite some time.
