LOL...I was thinking the same thing about the floor. Also, why do many of these kind of pics show totally pointless items on display? An old pulley and a bird's nest, really? Pick that stupid rope off the floor and get a Swiffer! See the 'Before & After' on turning an under-stairs closet to a mini-office for another example of worthless clutter on display. I am not a fan of 'gallery walls', as they don't allow the individual pieces to shine. Picture #7 is a perfect example of how cluttered and kitschy it can look...to the point that it doesn't even matter what is actually IN the frames. @coco51: It looks like a piece by Franz Kline. He was famous for his mostly B&W, calligraphy-like paintings, done in NYC in the 1950s. Easy to find saples online, and you can easily make a similar one for yourself...In fact, I did a 7' long "Faux Kline" and have it proudly displayed in my living room!
