I just threw a green eggs and ham party this morning for my 2 year old and her friends. We did a breakfast where I provided the ham and eggs-we did died scrambled eggs and the kids watched me put in the food coloring and mix, then another mom read the book while I cooked. We had toast, fruit, green eggs, ham, and shrimp and grits for the moms. I drew the outline of thehand holding the green eggs and ham picture on large art paper to use as their placemat and we painted it with green poster paint after they ate. I decorated with red and white streamers amd baloons. They ate , painted, "read" Dr. Suess books, then found the green pom poms in a basket of colored pom poms. For favors, I made sugar cookies shaped like ham and some like eggs and put them in a ziplock with green ribbon. It was agreat success.
