Why have the chosen not to cook with garlic? Maybe because they think it's too strong? If that's the case, I'm a bit of a subversive so I'd probably make something for my parents, like a pasta sauce, with garlic in it so they can see it isn't always strong, that it can be mellow and delicious!

Of course, if it's an allergy, I withdraw that advice! :)

Jamie Oliver's sweet potato and chorizo soup. https://foodfolio.net/recipes/35608/jamie-oliver-sweet-potato-chorizo-soup/

While it's a thick soup, there's no cream in it, and I think it could be cooked in a slow-cooker just as easily as on the stovetop, and then blitzed with a handheld mixer. Best soup ever.

Strawberries are usually higher in fiber and lower in sugar than other fruits - it's one of the first fruits allowed backin on Atkins.

Best dessert is some cut up strawberries and sour cream blended with a bit of splenda...it's as low-carb as possible, and tastes delicious!

My hope is that someday I'll have an oven that doesn't randomly heat anywhere between 50 degrees below and 50 degrees above what I actually set it to.

Strawberris Romanoff - two pounds of cut-up berries, mixed with half a cup of sour cream and a tablespoon of brown sugar mixed together. Divine, especially after a couple of hours marinating in the fridge, when the strawberry juice thins out the sour cream a bit.

I have a set of four of them as part of my grandmother's Royal Albert china set - they are known as tea sets, and they're very useful when having tea and dainties/cookies. I think they were most common in the 30's, 40's and 50's when women entertained more formally at home.

Dressers As Bedside Tables

As others have said, there's no way a two-year old floor should be doing this if it was done properly. When the grout comes up and the tiles crack so soon, it ususally means something is wrong with the floor itself. It could be unlevel, or the sub-floor is moving (this can happen if the sub-floor is nailed down rather than screwed down). Any patch job will be just that, and you'll be throwing good money after bad. You're likely better off getting a professional to look at it and give you advice.

We do cabbage and pork chops. We slice the cabbage finely, like you would for slaw, but leave it in long strips.

We start by sauteeing some pork chops in the pan until about half-cooked through (flipping once), then take them out and top up the pork fat with some oil.

We add the cabbage, some balsamic vinegar and some brown sugar, then stir until lightly softened. Then add the half-cooked pork chops on top and put on a lid and let it sit for a while, stirring every 10 minutes or so. We usually leave it for about 45 minutes to get the cabbage good and cooked, but so it still has a bit of bite. It's delicious!

Go for an old-fashioned, romantic look of hanging the cups on cup hooks in the bottom of your kitchen cabinets or a shelving unit in another room. You can stack the saucers together out of the way.

I like the idea of blue, myself. For a vintage look, try a more turquoise blue or a gray-blue to get that older feel.
