Luckily Christmas is the one holiday where timing works out perfectly. Both families live in town, so we go to my family for a couple hours for presents on Christmas morning, then the rest of the day at his family's for presents and dinner. Boxing day is my big family shindig. I'm sure once we have kids it will get much more complicated, but so far so good. Knock on wood! The Family Holiday Tap Dance |

I'd take a cue from that fantastic pillow on your couch. I'd use the gold colour for the center wall that the fireplace is on and the blue colour for behind what could be built in book shelves on either side of the fireplace. I'm not a huge fan of mounting tvs over fireplaces especially if heat and soot are radiating up and onto the screen. That can shorten the life if your tv, so I'd keep it to the side and fill the space above the fireplace with artwork. I'd definitely go with built-ins on either side of the fire place. You can never have enough book storage and with some thoughtful arrangements, which your home clearly already displays, you'll get lovely blue peeking through the books. KEEP IT!!! Personally, my favourite style is pairing vintage with modern and this sink is so beautiful it could work well with an updated kitchen. Please show us the "after" photos when you've finished. Should We Keep this Vintage Sink in Updated Kitchen? Good Questions |
