You forgot to mention YONANANS wich uses frozen fruit ALL YEAR ROUND. Sorry. I'm just still a little psyched about my Yonanas machine. You guys should write about that. Pure fruit soft serve from juicer machines. I know people do it with the Champion juicer, thats the way I first had it. It's really healthy and surprisingly addictive. Sometimes I drown mine in homemade chocolate sauce... Mid-Winter Fruit Reprieve: 8 Snacks, Breakfasts, & Desserts with Frozen Fruit |

People get so fired up about eating less meat. And I really don't understand the emotional attachment some people have to it or why the thought of eating less of it is so controversial. I eat a lot of vegetables, ie a "mostly vegan diet," just because I like vegetables. Those who don't, well they just don't know what they're missing. Mark Bittman Says: Eat More Plants |

This has been discussed so much on The Kitchn, they even did a review of the DIY bouillon from 101Cookbooks. I'm surprised the editor of this post did not include more links. Best Vegetarian Bouillon and Pre-Made Stock? Good Questions |

The title lured me in and the post was a letdown. I spent years living in a small town and getting creative with what I could find at the poorly stocked stores. To boot, I was trying be a vegan without many meat-replacement options. From that I learned eating beans is easier and a lot better for you. Overall, it turned out the best bet (small town or not) is shopping the farmers markets and farm stands. Small Town Survival: When the Grocery Store Sucks |

Having lived in a small city that was desperate for a Trader Joes, I can say I know about 25,000 people who will be quick to subscribe. But TJ's is seemingly so against making its products available outside their existing markets, I have to wonder why they wouldn't protest this company's work... It's a free country I guess. I'm not one to defend celebrity-produced anything, but I think The Kitchn is right on this. Have any of you ever checked out her blog? It is updated infrequently which leads me to believe that the blog at least is not written by a ghostwriter, and she seems to have good taste in food so I don't see why it's so hard to believe she wrote a cookbook. Everyone writes cookbooks these days. And look, here's proof that she's even cooked her own recipes: Why You Should Give Gwyneth Paltrow's Cookbook a Chance |

They have FROZEN quinoa? And I thought just finding boxed dried quinoa for under $5 was a win. I love that store so much. Like Whitrome said, it's where I spend pretty much ALL my take home pay. I have to second the comment that they DO still carry the white beans, your store just stopped carrying them. Because the shelves at my store are fully stocked. My favorite, favorite, FAVORITE item is the big jug of good quality olive oil for $7.99. I had to ask an employee if the price was written correctly because I COULD NOT believe my eyes. I'm a TJ's fanatic. Don't even let me get started about the wine. Spotted at Trader Joe's: 5 Great Staples for Our Pantries |

As I'm sure you've now realized, the uses are endless. I have a real fondess for miso soup, especially when you need a quick dinner. The paste makes a delicious base broth, you can add unlimited veggies, some noodles and your choice of protein. It's so savory and satisfying. Also, lolz at "miso confused." Clever!
