YES! Apartment Therapy commenters never fail! Some of the most humorless and pretentious snots on the internet.

Please, please tell me more about how these good people who have shared their deeply personal treasures in good humor and without being paid deserve to be derided and instructed by others (who have contributed nothing) as to what is art and what is not art.

I think all of these updates are fun and, like just about everything else on this site, not for everyone. Thank you for sharing them with me.

I love the idea that one can be "kind" to books. It's paper, people. PAPER. This kind person allowed a camera into their home, while you hide behind your computer, piously anthropomorphizing paper.

P.S. How kind was your paper to the tree it destroyed? Im quite certain that all your precious books were printed from trees that died of natural causes.

Leave it to Apartment Therapy commenters. Really? These nice people spent untold thousands on trying to restore the building and keeping it looking nice and instead of faded and dingy, like most of the homes in Alamo Square. Cant we just say "Thank you for sharing your home with us" instead of tearing them apart and making them feel like they wasted three months and all their money.

I think its beautiful and would be honored to live there. And thank you for putting yourself on the firing line for AT.

For you book purists out there, I remind you all that your precious books were actually something else before they were originally destroyed: PLANTS. Thank you Russell, for setting it right. And so handsome!

Im also a patient at Poke. Its true theres a lot going on in the waiting area but it still manages to be pretty peaceful. And the treatment rooms, where the acupuncture actually takes place, are simple warm wood walls, soft linens and just a few landscape photos. I couldnt feel more relaxed there. Russell is great.
