This was my submitted question, and I did end up purchasing them. We LOVE them -- drastically changed the look of the room in a great way. Fortunately, they are in amazing condition, barely any wear on the upholstery. However, I agree that reupholstering them in a blue velvet would be perfect! Maybe some day. Like you suggested, eveb1123 , I am looking into removing the skirts and replacing the legs with something similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B003YMI4IQ/ref=dp_image_text_z_0?ie=UTF8&n=1055398&s=home-garden

Anyone have experience with this? Suggestions?
