I re-purposed an aquarium stand I found at the thrift store (about 5 bucks too) into a vanity. I flipped it upside down so the open part is on the floor, and the bottom is now the top. I keep my excess hair products/accessories in the inside. Covered it with some pretty contact paper and it worked out just perfectly. :)

I would love to be able to run our dishwasher at night--unfortunately I'm a little too nervous after we had two kitchen floor flooding incidents within days of each other, both within our first month at our place. Thankfully its problem has been fixed, but the trouble it caused won't be forgotten...

My fiancé and I have lived in our first apartment together for about 2 years now. No major problems, so far. Except...just within the last year, we've come to the realization that our next door neighbor may be mentally ill. She screams (and I mean SCREAMS) complete nonsense for hours, through the night and into the morning. (And we didn't notice it for the first year, for whatever reason.) We haven't said anything to our building manager, because really, what can be done? Unfortunately, I doubt our manager can increase the neighbor's medication...

I was so glad to see this post! I've actually been looking for ways to use rhubarb beyond making a pie or a crisp.

I LOVE the 7 up and Rainbow Sherbet punch. My family does pretty much the same thing, except we like Raspberry Sherbet with Raspberry Ginger Ale.
