Wait, Shannon....people don't clean their cat boxes several times a day? I also use unscented corn litter and scoop it any time I smell anything and then spray Lysol around. And once a week I change all the litter and bleach out the box. I also have 2 dogs and I vacuum every day with my Dyson animal and wipe all surfaces every other day. Deep cleaning once a week. I'm just a neat freak and couldn't have the pets I love if I didn't clean up after them. It's a grand total of 30 minutes of cleaning a day and a couple hours on the weekend. I keep my cats' litter box in the bathtub and keep the vent on 24/7. It's not ideal, but there is literally nowhere else to keep it. I'd rather it be in my bathtub than my kitchen! Tips for Living in a Small Space with Pets (aka: Don't Be the \"Smelly House Friend\") |
