We just had a sofa brought in , brand new, and could not fit as was planned and estimated in a fit test into our small home. It was suggested that we find a sofa doc, since they are everywhere in NYC, here in the DC area. We went with a local furniture and upholstery shop in Alexandria (Spicers) and they plucked, lifted, tucked and re-sewed to a tee. Unless you really love this chair, get a new one that fits. Since ours was brand new and we had searched a long time to find one that had all the right qualities (size-though we hit a snag here-, look, comfort, etc), it was very worth it. Not to mention a very high quality job done. Weigh your options well. Furniture Disassembly for Interstate Move? Good Questions |
