PS - agree with Zenminds suggestion of having floor plans for house tours too - its easier to understand the house's flow that way..

Oh dear..i just read your blog and am feeling utterly useless!! Its amazing that you can do all those changes to your kitchen and other rooms in your house by yourself , and without having to spend too much!
Am in need of painting my awful kitchen cabinets but am fearing it!! Im positive the brush strokes will be visible and i'd hate that :(

Im sorry but i cant help but want to cry when I see the 2 photos of your cat Alice..I had a similar cat, (less orange , more grey in colour) who looked just like yours..down to the bulging tummy!! (Does Alice have a hernia too..?). Sadly my darling Figaro died in January this year at the age of 13 due to renal failure..Big kiss and hug to Alice please..sob sob..

In answer to self taught (from what i can see in the photo) that plant is called monstera deliciosa - i dont really know where you can get it where you are, but here in Malaysia its abundant in the jungle..
Its a creeping vine and we have a huge one on the exterior wall of my house!
