I love the people who are saying "it looks like ice cream and has the texture of ice cream, but it still tastes like bananas"! Haha! OF COURSE IT DOES! It's frozen BANANAS! Oy vey....

Sounds yummy, I'm freezing bananas now!

I make reusable fabric snack bags for all the snackers in my house. I use fun fabrics, lined with rip-stop nylon (which is food safe and water resistant). My toddler loves to open and close the velcro himself and even his big brother likes showing off his pirate printed bag to his friends. Best part, no plastic bags in the trash!

I think this is a cute idea! Who cares if it's another excuse to have a party?! I like to have "it's-Friday-and-I-want-a-margarita parties", what's the difference? With all the unavoidable negative and awful things that are happening in the world right now I think it's great to throw a just-for-the-hell-of-it party! Good on you and congratulations!

I agree JudiAU. I'm shocked and amazed at how quickly my little one finds trouble... I THOUGHT I baby-proofed! Things I couldn't even fathom him getting to/near/a hold of become nightmares in an instant (grabbed a giant knife off out kitchen table, that I didn't know he could reach, while I was 2 feet away!!)!!! As cliche as it may be it's better to be safe than sorry, honestly!

I refill them with other snacks... animal crackers, various cheerio flavors, goldfish crackers, etc and take them along. We usually end up leaving one at Grammy's house or in the car so there are favorite snacks wherever we go!

My son has slept with a blanket since he's been in his crib, about 4 months old (before that, in a bassinet, he was swaddled in one) and around 6 months old we put a flat pillow under his sheet to help elevate him while he slept with a bad respiratory infection. The pillow has been there since. He's now 14 months old.

I scrub the bottom of our mat with bleach once a week. So far it's keeping the mildew and slime at bay.

Love this... I'm in the middle of making something similar, though much (MUCH) larger for my son's lego collection. He likes to dump them out but not pick them up, so I thought this would be the way to have them on the floor but not all over the floor!

I don't know about you, but my (now 9 month old) infant wanted no parts of his cradle and we ended up co-sleeping! Maybe that's because he didn't get a silk DoDo to sleep in, but I would have been appalled if I'd spent that kind of money for him to end up in our bed! Aside from that, the short amount of time infants actually FIT in a bassinet makes it even more not worth it!

My husband is an urban bee-keeper in Philadelphia with several hives in downtown Philly and in Delaware County. He also does presentations for school children. I know he's dealt with the Philadelphia Bee Guild on several occasions, but you may be better off contacting him if you're interested in starting a hive or having him come give a presentation.

Drop me a line and I'll give you his contact info!

Love the room! Who makes the activity table/box you have on the rug in the first photo? I'm looking for something similarly compact and modern.
