I've had the VX21 or is it the XV21 since the first of June. We've named her Nelli and yes she is like an addition to the pet count of 2 little dogs plus 2 long haired cats. Nelli runs nightly after I got to bed, I keep the bedroom door closed so noise is not a problem. We had to put a boundry marker under a cabinet which consistently trapped her - problem no more. We love Nelli, it is wonderful to walk on freshly vacuumed hardwood free of dust, leaf litter, little sticks, hairballs and dust rhinos. The dogs drag in an amazing amount of yard litter on those furry little feet and hairy bellies and cats can blow hair balls at will. I'm never going back. I am one of those who have migraines triggered by cfl bulbs. My compromise is cfl's installed on the exterior of my home because of the extended hours of use. I have acquired a stash of my favorite incandescents over the past year when it occured to me they were likely to become difficult to obtain. 60, 75, 100W and a few floods. Worst Christmas ever... Eve of Xmas eve night was spent in the ER due to a serious health issue. My 15 yr. old daughter slept in the waiting room. She drove us home with her practice drivering permit in a raging icy storm at 6AM. Xmas eve day the problem recurs so back to the ER we go. My physical condition deteriorates leading to emergency surgery at 8-9PM Xmas eve. On Dec. 26 my daughter begins vomitting with abdominal pain - she has an emergeny appendectomy that night. We are both hospitalized for the next couple days. It was awful. We didn't make to aunty's house for Xmas dinner. When Holidays Go Wrong: Sick on Thanksgiving |

Really enjoyed all the comments about pros and cons of pets in bed. I'm a pro gal myself. My solution to the love of pristine white linens is doggie donut beds at the foot of the bed. The beds are a pale gray and actually look lovely in the white room. Everything gets laundered on sanitary setting weekly to keep ahead of the crud that inevitably creeps in. 15 lb havanese don't bring in too much dirt. I use old shoe boxes, cheap, recycling future trash flow and just about the right size for many items. We started this when my daughter was little - little shoe boxes were just right for storing little socks and undies.
