I am one of those who have migraines triggered by cfl bulbs. My compromise is cfl's installed on the exterior of my home because of the extended hours of use. I have acquired a stash of my favorite incandescents over the past year when it occured to me they were likely to become difficult to obtain. 60, 75, 100W and a few floods.

Really enjoyed all the comments about pros and cons of pets in bed. I'm a pro gal myself. My solution to the love of pristine white linens is doggie donut beds at the foot of the bed. The beds are a pale gray and actually look lovely in the white room. Everything gets laundered on sanitary setting weekly to keep ahead of the crud that inevitably creeps in. 15 lb havanese don't bring in too much dirt. The younger one gives a little whisper kiss if I sleep in too late, cute little worried expression on his face.

I use old shoe boxes, cheap, recycling future trash flow and just about the right size for many items. We started this when my daughter was little - little shoe boxes were just right for storing little socks and undies. The practice has continued my sock drawer is always completely sorted never do I grab navy when I aimed for black.
