From experience, I know, you get what you paid for. Don't expect this one to work out for very long.

Also, you need to go and really hang out on the sofa of choice at the store. Don't be scared to lay and lounge in it like you would at home. Take someone with you like to hang out with, so you won't rush it. This is an important purchase, and you want to be comfy!!!

That Double Apple cake listed is Delish! It travels well. I would make extra sauce....it's addictive. Some people more than others. I add dried cherries to the batter as well. It's my fave recipe I have ever gotten off the Kitchn!

I totally covet some of these gems, but they are way too much money for little reward. I'd rather save up and get a real version.

I think the structure is great, but the dinginess would freak my germaphobe brain out, so there is no way I could stay there.

Painting tip: we spray painted our cabinets with oil paint. I highly recommend doing this so you will get a nice even hardwearing finish. The fumes are terrible, so you will have to do it outside and with a mask, but any other paint will nick. We happened to have a compressor, but you should be able to rent one.

I like the idea, but meringue just doesn't do it for me.

It's a nice looking place, but worthy of a house tour??? It doesn't quite seem finished to me. The colors are great and the owner's personality is showing, but.....Maybe it's the lack of curtains. I know some people don't like them, but I think they add a real decorative value to a place.
It looks very tidy except on those shelves under that kitchen table/pantry. I would definitely get some sort of box system in whatever style you like to organize and hide some of that clutter.

I am amused by the tile comment. I have some things around my rental that I keep hoping if I ignore it will go away as well.
