This type of thing isnt shocking, when it comes to some post on AT.

I think some people jumped to conclusions, not about the cookie jar, but to the people who question the cookie jar.

I wouldnt say Michael is racist for having a mammy cookie jar on his counter. I would call his use of a historical artifact, that was use to humiliate and degrade a group of people to be shortsighted.

If I were to proudly have on display antiques that degraded jews or gays and said it was cool and came from a loving place, I doubt it would get swept under the rug, like some of these comments want to do.

And the comment comparing, Sylvia Woods an entrepreneur who has control of her image, to a damn Mammy (an black women held in slavery) cookie jar, needs to read a book.
