Breville Espresso EVERY MORNING. I have a routine: wake up, turn on machine, fix kids' breakfast and help them eat (toddlers), then when they are all done and ready to start playing I make a delicious caramel latte. I haven't been able to kick the habit since we got the machine. The mini Keurig we received for Christmas last year looks lonely next door to the Breville, it hasn't been used in months. We do keep it around though for my mom and MIL, they don't like to make/drink espresso.

My favorite kitchen gadget is the Zyliss pizza wheel. I use it to cut and slice everything, pizza, brownies, bars, quesadillas, dough, and I'm sure a bunch of others things. I like to think of it as a bench scraper that rolls, you get the benefit of downward pressure that regular pizza cutters don't have.

@ELARHY, If it is an open bar, tips are appreciated, not necessary. The wedding hosts have provided drinks to you and either have a tip for the bartender worked into their bill, or will provide it separately to the bartender. That said, a wedding host tip is usually about 10%, so if the bartender is good I personally would throw in a buck a drink. If it is an open bar tips are definitely required. The venue is not going to be paying the bartender anything other than normal wages. If you were hosting a wedding that had an open bar, I would ask the venue for a run-up of their service and tip the bartender 10% of their sales, mostly because people don't think about tipping when they come to a wedding.

I live in South Florida. We get a couple months of nice weather where you can open the windows and let your house breathe. Other than that you get a few cold days(below 60 degrees it cold here) where its too cold to open up the house, but at least the AC isn't running. Or you can open the windows for a few hours during a nice summer rain shower to help cool the house down and get in the fresh air. Other than that it is 90-99 degrees and 50+% humidity, and that is no fun inside without AC.

@TEAGIRL, it looks like a custom-painted wood deck, on the left side of the deck you can see the slats where there is some board separation. Looks like stencil work.

Here are my thoughts on "allowing" raw milk. There is a relatively small group of people who create a demand for raw milk. Most of the people who seek it are receiving it now, whether through legal or illegal courses.

The rate of infection is very low. It is lower than that of pasteurized milk, though comparing the numbers simply side by side is biased because MANY more people drink pasteurized milk vs. raw. There have been 143 outbreaks from raw milk since 1987. There have been 422 outbreaks in pasteurized milk after 1987. In the year 1987 they had 16,000+. I removed that since that is obviously atypical.

The other problem I have with raw milk being illegal is the costs that the federal government incurs from preventing the sale of it. Raiding dairy farms for selling raw milk with hordes of federal agents is not something we should be spending tax dollars on. Does that seem okay to you?

My view is that it is the person's choice to put what they want in their body. Such a novel thought in a "free" society.

I was gifted a Keurig for Christmas. Other than the sample dozen pack of cups that is included with the coffee-maker, we have never bought any k-cups. I didn't even like the coffee that was in them, and I thought the thing was going to be a wash.

Our gift included an EZ Cup, which is a reusable cup that takes paper filters, like a normal coffeemaker. You just fill it will coffee and put it in the machine, and just pitch the filter and grounds, again like a normal coffeemaker. I use the same amount of coffee as I do for a cup of coffee.

I have to say that the coffee tastes substantially better than a normal drip coffeemaker. The Keurig doesn't heat the water as scalding hot, and subsequently brews a better cup.

I also end up using less water because I don't have to wash out a carafe every day, just my mug.

I got a pretty bad taste in my mouth at Thanksgiving a few years ago. My uncle usually brings the pies, but that year he never called my mom and told her he was bringing them. So she asked me. I made 3 homemade pies, they were perfect. What happened? I came to thanksgiving and my uncle brought store-bought pies. Frustrating.

I love using Braeburns. They are a cross of granny smith and something else (can't remember). They are a great mixture of sweet and tart.

I work in an open office setting too. My boss is territorial over the scissors. It is the only pair of scissors we have. She glares at you if you borrow them, and you had better bring them back to her computer station. She also stares at us all day long.....uncomfortable.....so much that the comfortableness of your chair seems like a petty thing to think about, lol. Ouch, I'm mean, but it's the truth.
