I love the grey posts, in large part because I love grey walls but my apartment gets almost no natural light. I've swatched greys from near-white to slate and nothing works without amping up the artificial light, so I'm left with admiring other people's grey walls. Maybe in my next place.

I found two almost-new Finnish modern bentwood armchairs on the curb the other day. The springs are in superb condition - I just need to recover them in something cheerful.

caseoftornados, I'm diabetic. A combination of medication and fewer than 50g of carbs a day keep me in check; turnips, green veg, and the rare sweet potato are about all I can tolerate.

Apart from my own dietary restrictions, most prep-ahead suggestions tend to be heavily weighted toward grains and legumes, so alternates interest me in terms of seeing what else is out there.

I'm going to finish putting up the final few jars of the farmers' market haul from last Saturday - preserved lemons and watermelon rind pickles are all that's left. I'll probably make lime sorbet, too.
