what a lifesaver! we kept that little ikea potty in our trunk for years!! we used it through 3 kids and it was sooooo much better that taking them into a publc restroom (and cleaner!). none of my 3 had trouble waiting until we could get them to our car where they would sit in the trunk (we have a wagon) and go. no one cared, they were sheilded by us and is was super clean!

fun, fun, fun!

For me, it basically boils down to "do whatever works for you". I am a SAHM of 3 young children. I breastfed, cloth diapered and made our own baby food~all easy and no-brainers, but really I put my attention and focus into my children because that is my nature- not competition, keeping up or trying to be perfect. When I was working full-time I gave my everything to that job; complete focus, time and energy. This is absolutely no different- raising my children the best way possible is my job now and when I know something is "better" for them I do it!

We have dark hardwood flooring all throughout our home and as much as i love it...and i do absolutely love it, it shows EVERYTHING! We have 3 kids under 6 and 2 pugs and i am constantly sweeping, steam mopping and picking up...but i do love it...
