I too think the couch and wall compete for attention. Painting would be cheaper than replacing the couch, and it would be a shame to lose such a beautiful piece of furniture.

$470 for 350 square feet in Kokkola, Finland.

It's a recently renovated studio apartment with an alcove(ish space) and a separate kitchen. Monthly rent includes water but not electricity.

I have a slightly modified Mikael table in my living room. Because of the excess noise of a midrange gaming system, the computer case is in my kitchen. This setup has worked very well. It's both comfortable and discreet. The plastic box is not just for cables, but also something to put my feet on.

When I get a new TV I plan on silencing the computer, spraypainting the holder (which is from from a church charity store) and moving both next to the table so that all cables can be attached to the TV.

As many others, you obviously don't consider gaming a real hobby. Teaming up with someone who does would mean you'd have to constantly fight over their attention with the newest game. Or that's what you fear.

If I buy something that ends up not being used, I sell it or donate it. I don't stack it up in my living room. You could say clutter is a red flag for me - it tells me the guy either has OCD or no sense of style (both of which can be remedied though).

Being single doesn't equal being a loser. Don't settle for less just to be able to say you're in a relationship.

You can catch a disease by having unprotected sex with one person once. Heck, it may very well be the other way around - with experience comes knowledge. Not to mention skill.
