I have set of Calpholon non stick pans that I love. They do give a good sear and are so easy to clean. They're great for making a juicy steak.

I've taken to poaching my chicken breasts in well-seasoned water and chicken broth (sometimes I add a splash of wine). They come out moist and flavorful and the house smells like chicken soup. I poach several breasts at a time and then freeze them for later use.

My favorite growing up was beef-a-roni or what others call American Goulash. Now I like baked mac & cheese with chicken and peas and a parmesan bread crumb topping.

Gonna try Teriyaki chicken in the slow cooker with a recipe from Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook. This is the first recipe I'm trying from this cookbook, so I hope it turns out.

Also will be poaching some chicken breasts and will freeze those for use in recipes later.

These candy cane cookies look just like the ones my sister makes for the holidays every year. They are by far the most popular cookie that she makes and get eaten up very quickly. They are delicious!

Our holiday dinner is always on Christmas Eve. Traditional dishes include beef tenderloin and scalloped oysters. My sister always makes dozens upon dozens of cookies and other treats for the family and to share with friends.

Meant to make apple-spiced bread for my husband's breakfasts this week, but didn't get around to it.

Gots to be homemade. My sister makes the best cranberry sauce with pears and cinnamon. Once you have it, everything else pales in comparison.
