yes. i am with you on this. when i'm looking for an apartment, i become obsessed & i watch craigslist update in real time. my favorite is when people write "WALL TO WALL CARPETING!!!!" in all caps, in the title, as if that were a selling point.

i also love when people list the same apartment six times a day, with the only difference being the puns or cutesy taglines. it's like, yes, clearly your enthusiasm is the questionable part of this ad. i need more exclamation points or i'm just not convinced i should rent this crappy apartment. i was thinking about renting something with hardwood floors & big windows, but now that i've seen your exclamation point army, i am sold on this top quality hovel.

i think our studio is about 500 square feet, & it feels like the perfect amount of space for two people, a dog, & a cat. the floorplan is everything, though. there are clear places to divide the room, & that helps.

i do have a separate kitchen, but unfortunately, it doesn't have a door. the open floorplan is a sad reality when you live with a cat who likes to meow, jump on you, & violently chase things at 4am. i almost feel like this cat needs more square footage than i do.

10 Tips for Selecting a Realtor

this is the third month i've lived in my apartment, & last week, i noticed that one of the bricks in the wall of my living room is a slightly different color than the others. when i looked closer, i realized that it is a photograph of a brick taped over the brick itself. this is the strangest thing that has ever happened to me.

i made a craigslist post about it including pictures. you can access it here:

i think the post will be up for a few more days.
