That Good Night Light looks really cool. My son is all about the "moon is up"/"sun is up" idea of when it's time to sleep already. I think this would really work for him and we could "sleep in" until 7:00 once again. Maybe I'll be buying my husband one for Father's Day! We recently moved our 2 year old son into the full bed that had previously been the guest bed because we have a new baby on the way. We've just put pillows on the one side of the bed that he could fall out of (the other is against the wall) and he's already learned to stay in the middle of the bed, which is not hard since it's so big for him. Yeah, don't get me started... So since we purchased our condo from a previous owner we may not replace our allergen-causing, off-gassing carpet with wood flooring due to noise issues, but if we would have purchased a unit direct from the builder (for $50K more) we could have paid for an upgrade to get wood floors. We overcame this dilemma with our WD Passport with a couple pieces of stick-on velcro. Now the external drive just sticks to the top of the laptop and we don't have to worry about it falling when we grab the computer to move it to the couch. We have a similar "hole" right above our fireplace. I'm not exactly sure what the builder was thinking it was for. Ours doesn't even have any outlets like yours does. We opted for the "cover it with art" option. We bought a length of marimekko fabric and some stretcher bars and covered that thing right up. We had a very similar situation in our previous apartment. We bought a bar table and chair set from Cost Plus where the table top was even with the top of the wall. Without the table I can see where you'd get a feeling of vertigo, but with it, you've kinda got something to hold on to. And then you can eat outside and enjoy the view. My largest (and best) ebay purchase was a 1998 Honda Civic that I bought in 2000 for $8000. I was a bit nervous about buying a car based only on pictures without any verification of its working condition, but I had my mom drive me from Davis to LA to pick it up and put over 100,000 miles on it before selling it in 2004.
