Does anyone else develop mysterious little holes front waist of T shirts and tank tops? First I thought it was the cat, now I suspect jeans zippers of chewing them, even in quite new ones. Makes it easier to throw things away past their prime.

I love this beyond reason. I have stockpiled beautiful distressed wooden planks, many driftwood, and would love to make sturdy industrial bases for at least some of them. If you think there's a limit to the number of tables a lady needs, you're wrong!

I resent the cleaning I have to do when I set my drink on the edge of a coaster and it yips over! It has put me completely off coasters, if there's a ring on the table I'll just wipe it off, no big deal.

I got up from the computer, marched into the kitchen and threw away the chipped bowls which have been irritating me FOR EVER. There was only one left unchipped so I threw that out too for good measure, it had spoon marks on its cheap nasty bottom. I feel so free!

I painted my whole house the colour of a storm I saw through the windows the first day I lived there, a wonderful warm gray (with white trim): I never tired of it.

Fitted sheets are horrible no matter how you fold them, they always ruck up in use and show what should be decently covered. Better to spend time learning to make a perfect hospital corner with a proper flat sheet.
