Garrett-- Apartment Therapy New York | NY Good Questions: Where Can I Find These Wall Decals? |

He ...teresa here ...I used different decals with different results. The decal in my livingroom (the sparrow from ferm living) would not stick to the prepainted canvas I had wanted to put it on but stuck perfectly to my somewhat textured (ie spackled over and some rough patches) walls and teh ShaNickers decals (birds used in the bedroom&on canvas) adhered easily onto both surfaces of wall and canvas which both were slightly rough and uneven. So it definitely depends but overall I had good results with both on surfaces that were not "ideal" or perfectly smooth by any means. thanks everyone again for your continued comments...the bench and the kitchen table are both from room & board....the bench is the "larkin" ench in the stock leather (coffee) and the kitchen/dining table is the 36" square portica table (stainless steel legs &walnut top). jeez! i keep forgetting to answer at least one question--sorry for my messy brain! laura E....it is true...really no walls...it looks as it does in the floor plan...open between the rooms & no wall between the room and the hall space...railroad at its most bare minimum. & the floorplan wasn't exactally "to size"...i am quite incompitent with anything graphics oriented...but i assure you it is close to refrigerator size :0...with room only for a standing shower box & toilet well within arms reach from the shower (enough room only for a mini bathroom rug between) it is about the size of a refrigerator and 1/2 :)....to my dismay. Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments and critiques...always good to hear from what people think outside of what I see in my own head! The graphic with the bird over the couch is from ferm living--the painting over the acrylic table is actually canvas I painted with fuschia wall paint and then added wall graphics I got from etsy seller "ShaNickers" (the same place the wall graphic over the bed is from)...i totally understand the feelings about "too many" wall graphics but my reasoning was #1 :since I couldnt paint I wanted to fill large spaces with something without too many little things leaving it cluttered #2 by mistake (ha)...I intended originally for the graphic above the couch to go on the pink canvas where the canvas sits now over the table but as I tried to apply it it wouldnt stick so in a last panic moment stuck it above the couch and then had a pink canvas to fill...and so it went as it did :). Thank you again for all of your comments, especially those who know how hard it is to work with those horrid ceiling tiles! I agree with the "not quite being ready this year" sentiments...I just moved into my new place a month ago and while I'm very proud of what my round the clock mildly ocd obsessiveness to design and details has brought me :)...i'm definitely not there yet :)....bare walls still and all that jazz...but my goal is definitely aspirations to enter next year :)...can't wait to see the entries tho...I love the peeks into so many lovely homes. As a former barnes & noble employee--once upon a time, a long time ago :)--I'm pretty regimented about my bookcases...I have two huge cases in my study flanking my desk ....the right bookcase is fiction and the left non-fiction (for starters)....the fiction is split into subcategories (new fiction, series novels, shakespeare, jane austen&everything before her...and then poetry at the end, beginning with anthologies)...the left bookcase is segmented into subcategories: psychology, sociology, religion&spirituality, memoir, travel essays&guides, women's studies, health, and reference/writing on writing materials ....yeah i may be a little out of control but I love the order of it all, so easy to sort through and organizationally reminiscent of my b&n days :)!
