What about Snapseed? A lot more possibilities than Instagram, but less "ready-made".

This is really "French kitchen" for Americans. I am Dutch myself but have a lot of French friends. Their kitchens are not about kitchens, but about preparing food. Just as their food is not about how it looks, but how it tastes.
I must admit the pictures are pretty!

My daughter gave me a very nice Kikkerland Owl bank for Xmas.
I am saving up for a new espresso machine!

If you want to have flowers in winter and still be reasonably eco-friendly, you can put hyacinth or small narcissus bulbs in special glasses with water. The water should not touch the bulb. Put it in a dark cupboard until roots have been formed; then take it out into your room and watch how the stems and flowers are formed. I am from Holland and this is something my mother did in winter (not so many greenhouses at that time) and now I do it myself. I only hope you can find the special glasses in the States...

When we were on holiday in South Africa, I had my first Dom Pedro. Apparently you can make this with all sorts of liqueurs, but of course it is very SA to make it with Amarula Cream - it's a lovely and very simple dessert.
You take one shot glass of liqueur and about 250 ml of good vanilla ice cream per person and whizz it up in a food processor or blender. Serve it in a nice glass (of course you can garnish it with sugared violets or a sprig of mint) and voila... dessert.

I just love my Magic Mouse! I have suffered from RSI in the past, so I am very aware of ergonomics. With the MM, there are so many things you can do in different ways, which is really good.
