Would these amber jars take care of the light exposure issue? Not quite the same size, but the price is certainly right.

I agree with guerilla and bottom - the airplane part itself isn't really integral to the desk. It's harder to look upon it as a smart re-use when it's not really being used.

Favorite color lately: blue. The pots are great!

Organizing tip: Mount powerbars! I use a lot of powerbars in my home, to allow me to easily keep appliances, etc disconnected when not in use. But I hate the clutter they create on a floor or counter. I use screws or Velcro fastener to mount the powerbar at a convenient height. Fewer dust bunnies and it's within easy reach.

Violetsrose - I store homemade almond milk and juices in the glass jars. My beverages don't come in packets, unless the rind of a watermelon or skin of an almond is a 'packet' :)

funhon29 - cool idea about the drain stoppers! Don't know if I could find ones that fit, but the metal ring would be handy.
