I do not recall it being a problem growing up, but now that I am a dad I find that often roasting a chicken ( or a pork roast) uncovered means that the inside of my Bosch oven is coated, rather than just splattered, with grease that then tends to pool on the oven floor. How To Roast a Chicken |

The range is nearly identical to a Tappen Fabulous 400 electric counter top stove/oven with fold out cutting board that was part of a kitchen remodel the original owners of my 1951 house did in 1964.
