i think this style works best if you stick to one color palette (i.e., black & white photos and paintings with a bit of color--be it in the artwork or the framing-- red, brown, whatever; similar to the 2nd photo above) and/or complementary color palettes. i like one or two larger pieces anchoring the arrangement (not as busy that way), and i also like throwing a few unexpected things into the frame collage (like a round plate or a few tribal masks or something).

I'm in Manhattan, and I used this guy... he's great! Super efficient and really nice. He has a website but I forget what it is. I cut and pasted his email below:

Hello ,
My charge for TV installation is $150
Hiding wires from TV $50
Hook up Stereo system $60
Mounting speakers on the wall and concealing the wires $30 each
Thanks

Minerva, Alana, KenKay, et al - Did any of you use the rings with pleated drapes? Because that's what I'm dealing with. I'm wondering if the rings will give the pinch pleats enough support?

YAY! AT to the rescue!

Thanks so much, y’all, for your great suggestions. Hmm… hooks or traverse rods? Not sure which I’ll go with yet, but I'm psyched to now know what I'm looking for so thank you!

Btw, I totally agree about not hanging the drapes too high (or too low). That rod height worked well for the other curtains I had up and I just threw the new (old school) drapes up over the top of the rod to give you guys the visual. I will def get the height right when I hang them ‘for real’! Thanks again! Love AT!

Meghan

I bought the ghost chair (with arms) and cb2 table to use as a desk set. LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out! I live in a small studio and didn't want to obstruct the light near the window (see flickr photo link). The table is sturdy and a perfect desk height. The chair is surprisingly comfy. Would def recommend. Have received lots of compliments!

i recently saw the chair was there. NOT worth the $$. Fabric doesn't look or feel "expensive" and if you're going to pay that much for a chair, it should...
