I'm not comfortable with the way the bottom of the stairway is partially blocked by the collection of boots. Looks cluttered to me. I do, however love the plant table. Veronica's Light, Bright & Cheery Corner of the Sky House Tour |

Julia, This is my 2nd comment...I just have to say, living in NH, I'm actually talking to my husband about selling our cape and buying a small piece of land in the middle of nowhere...and duplicating your home! I would love to know if a home like this could run off of solar power...And also, do you have a basement or is it built on a slab? Julia's A-Frame |

I have a 2-year old and I have and would NEVER consider a wipes warmer...for one, they are a fire and electrical shock hazard (ummm, wetness and electricity, not a good combo), for another, a warm moist environment increases bacteria growth and thirdly, TONS of wipes warmers have been recalled (mostly for reason number 1 that I mentioned). Come on people...want to be green, safe, have a comfy baby AND avoid the use of an unceccesary gadget? I find this very eerie; I was just about to submit a "good question" on what I should do with this odd wooden "organizer" or "display case" if you will...and was just browsing through these pics and found that you have exactly what I'm talking about hanging on your wall in your foyer. My piece is compartmentalized exactly like the center part of the one on the right...You've done nicely with this and it looks great hanging on the wall, empty...so I'm going to follow your lead and do the same! Wow! I did a google search for repurposing a wedding gown...came accross this and was totally surprised to find it on AT (I'm a huge fan of AT)! My only suggestion is using the fabric for a baptism outfit, which I did for my sister-in-law...but I'm looking for something different to do with my gown....and will not be using the ideas presented in this article. :) 5 Ways To Reuse A Wedding Dress Around The Home |

Just had our old house tested because we're renting it out and the insurance company required it...lots of areas came back very high but "intact" meaning that they were considered "lead-safe" since the paint wasn't chipping. We just had to scrape and repaint a few areas that were. Should I Get My Old House Tested For Lead? Good Question |

I am a fan of G&Ts...sadly, I have only tried 2 gins and those are Tangueray and Bombay Saphire. I like Tangueray better but may explore the feedback here to see if there's another I should try. I've also tried Tangueray Ten and really did not notice a difference between that and the original! I say save your $$. Best Liquors: What Is Your Favorite Gin — and Why? |

I think you could do something a little less "cluttered-looking" to label the cupboards...perhaps neat little label frames at the bottom of each door instead? I sort of like the look of this, but not quite for me. I especially like the one labled "washing $hit" Green Style: Chalkboard Kitchen Cupboards |
