I recently found a great place that builds custom upholstered headboards (AMP Upholstery). They also build wing back headboards, and from looking at there portfolio of work (http://www.amp-upholstery.ca), am sure they can build you your perfect custom headboard.

I think there prices are very reasonable, and the quality of work is better than any store bought product.
