like everyone here I do name my device with obvious and less obvious names.
My iMac is called 909
My power book is called LONE STAR (I bought it for my trip to texas!)
My first iPhone was called PARMINDER (cos' I love PARMINDER NAGRA - the actress)
Then my second Iphone 3G was Mr. WHITE (that's obvious) and now my 3rd. one is called DARTH VADOR (obvious!)
All the three external drive are named: Mr. BIG, Mr. VERY BIG and BIG BOY and my small 4G flash drive is named GIGI (don't ask me why, I still don't know).
My iPOD was named LOVE (cos my husband give it to me for a birthday - LOVE passed away some years ago)
One of our powerbook titanium is called MUSIC for obvious reason and the iPad is of course PADDINGTON (lame?)
My husband called his iPhone BIJOU (weird!)
and the first flat screen is called STEEVE THE TV in reference to an episode of friends.

I realized I haven't named the second flat screen nor the remote and that I should start to think of a name for our kitchen aid alien like mixer!
