I made the smoothie Jennifer Lopez claims to drink daily last week (green from spinach) but the frozen banana masks it and you'd never know except for the lovely green shade that spinach was in it. Very tasty: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2014/06/jlo-jennifer-lopezs-spinach-protein_22.html

Great tips. I do high protein, low carb as part of my post weight loss surgery diet (8 years now, maintaining -158 pound weight loss) I can usually find something at a restaurant (ax the starch, ask for veggies) but I always carry a shaker bottle with a travel packet of protein powder or a protein bar/nuts in case the only choice is a limited room service menu or greasy spoon http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/09/traveling-post-op.html

I love cauliflower. Looking forward to trying a few of these! I don't eat rice or pasta so cauliflower is a nice alternative. I used it the other day to make a deconstructed Sicilian "Rice Ball" http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2014/05/riceless-sicilian-rice-balls-and-more.html

I do this but I don't freeze the ingredients ahead... just toss all the components into Ziplocs: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2014/03/post-weight-loss-surgery-menus-day-in.html Remember to label them though unless you like a mystery ;)

I have a bento box. I love it... makes me feel like one of the cool kids at recess. Some of my favorite past lunches: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-bento-box-rocks.html For me, it's a way to visually see my meal is balanced (I do high protein, low carb.) It's great for portion-control (just don't fill the box full of chocolate) and it's much more appetizing to look at separate compartments than a clump of cold whatever.

Here's how I do them: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2012/01/frozen-protein-drops.html I add protein powder too for an extra boost. They are great instead of ice in smoothies or just popped in your mouth for a cold treat.

I love zucchini and summer squash. Thank you for the great ideas. I can't get enough of them. I use them as a pasta alternative grilled instead of lasagna noodles or rolled like this http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/05/who-needs-pasta-pasta-less-manicotti.html for a pastaless manicotti.

I am loving strawberries right now. Some of my favorites: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2012/05/national-strawberries-and-cream-day.html I do no added sugar, low carb cooking/eating (health reasons) so the natural summer sweetness of strawberries is big time celebrated at my house.

I have the behemoth Ice-50BC sitting on my counter all summer. I love it but if anyone wants to hear each other speak while its on I have to downgrade to my old Ice-20. If one of them heads to the ice cream man in the sky this one is next for sure. I love making protein ice cream http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/08/protein-ice-cream.html great guilt free dessert on hot summer nights.

I love Torani Syrups. Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut and Irish Cream are the common coffee flavors. Be sure to have a sugar free option (they make those) I get these variety packs (gifts with coffee or protein - I do shakes a lot) http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2011/11/heads-up-sugar-free-torani-holiday-pack.html a few months ago they had a holiday assortment too. I like it better than creamers as they are often full of oils, fats, some are dairy, and they often require a fridge or ice.

Paper bags are great, those $1 store lunch bags. I use them for all my veggies. Haven't had many spoil since I've done that. Just be sure to write (or let the whippersnappers draw the veggie picture) on the bag or they become mystery bags you have to keep opening.
