Where have these been all my life? Trying to fit my pots and pans into the drawer under my oven is like doing one of those 3-D puzzles with weird-shaped pieces that have to fit together in a tight block. The worst mess I ever made (not counting the demolition phase of a remodel) happened when I was still a smoker. I had a HUGE ashtray that I'd allowed to get completely full, and somehow (my mind seems to have repressed the details) I managed to tip it onto the (shag!) carpet. Picking up the butts and matches by hand still left a major pile of fine ash that quickly sifted down into the depths of the carpet. When I'm feeling pretentious, I say scones, but when I'm just looking for a hot cuppa with a handful of comfort, they're old fashioned baking-powder biscuits, slapped into shape between my two hands, baked to a nice golden brown, and eaten with honey or homemade strawberry jam. I've been looking for an oven-safe Dutch oven so I could try that recipe for no-knead bread that's been floating around. Looks like I could use the liner from this slow cooker for that. I'd also make my corned beef and cabbage - only I'd have to plug it in out on the patio, because I live with someone who doesn't allow cabbage cooking in the house! With me, it's not pet hair - it's my own! I have very long hair that sheds all over the house, and most vacuums have a really hard time picking it up.
