@kushkush the "lounge" was probably a screened in porch at sometime. (very common in my neighborhood) It is a long narrow space and the guy that owned the house before me used it as his office. All I could really see in there was a library, mini bowling alley, or a lounge.
There was a ceiling light in there when I bought the house and I just felt the space was too small for overhead light. The 8 and other lamps fixed the light issue after removing the overhead. I also like the way that it reflects in the large photo over the couch.
One of my biggest problems is where to find a special spot for a piece of art. I don't remember, but I am sure I had someone hold that 8 up on every wall in my house before it landed there.

@xxsuisuixx The green chair was from a flea market. It didn't have a cover when I bought it...just stuffing. I had it upholstered. I think I paid $40 for it when I bought it.
@vix vax thanks for the love. I agree...sad that creative minds feel the need to leave negative comments. I even think the comments to the tune of "This place isn't my style, but I love it" are silly. I mean I love a lot of styles that aren't my personal style but don't think I need to start every compliment I give with a disclosure that "It isn't my style"....I know most mean well but if we all had the same style, we would be robots. Let's respect them all, except the ones with no style of course :)
@tenbar it is on all walls but I don't think it is overwhelming. I think a simple non-complex wallpaper would be undewhelming and I would wrather overwhelm than underwhlem any day. The paper itself is from Graham & Brown and is called Illusion. The name sold me.
@citipearl I took that color name straight off of the can, so either it is an old color they don't make anymore or the guy who labeled my can was high.

@nml That is a photograph I had blown up of my Grandpa at work.
@jtrippin I bought the chandelier and spray painted it with a few cans of white and then put a coat of gloss on it.

@nynative the black klismos were a $25 find at a flea market. The smelled of heavy smoke and were falling apart. I had them recovered in black vinyl and chrome nailheads.

@zebool Thanks! I found Elvis when I lived in Los Angeles at some vintage knick knack store in Los Feliz.
The graffiti and gas mask are Banksy. You can find prints online or on his site. He encourages people to print his work on his site.
I bought the head here in KC. If you go on ebay or just google anatomical display or anatomical head or model you will probably find a bunch of different versions and sizes.
