I agree with with Leith. What about adding some sort of self-adhesive paper or fabric to the inside of the leg/wall. It just lookes like exposed particle board there. Otherwise, great desk! I like the contrasting white and wood. How To Update Childhood Desk? Good Questions |

I personally dislike displaying glassware, plates/china in cabinets like that--just a personal preference! But, in regular everyday decorating, I love the way books look. In our new place we have two corner cabinets just like those and I put books in them and even contemplated taking the doors off to showcase it a bit more.
