This looks great! I've made a similar casserole with delicata squash instead of the pumpkin puree. It's a little more work since the squash needs to be cooked first, but sooo delicious!

Our 7-week old sleeps in a pack-n-play next to our bed. Sometimes we bed-share as well. I really wanted to get an Arm's Reach but the only ones that might have worked with our platform bed are the sleigh bed model and the universal model, both of which are much more expensive than the regular or mini versions and are rarely available used on craigslist around here.

We ended up with the Bright Starts Ingenuity pack-n-play which has worked out nicely. She sleeps well in it, and it is just a couple of feet from the bed so I can sit up and look in on her if I need to. The bassinet part has the option of an inclined surface which is great if your baby has reflux.

If you're interested in the Arm's Reach and don't have a traditional box-spring and mattress bed, check out the measurements and heights very carefully since some of their products might not work for you.

She does have a crib in her room, and so far she's just had a few naps in there. We definitely could have waited on it if we needed to.

I used to do this with my elementary students when I was teaching art. We used washable tempera paint soaked in a sponge when we didn't have ink pads (which was most of the time - we had a limited art supply selection.) The kids loved it and made some great work with it.

Massachusetts also has yurts in some of their state parks, but they do get pretty booked up in the summer - especially the ones on the cape.

I have to third the recommendation for Dharma Trading. They are excellent!

Candice, since you mentioned your sheets are cotton, I'm going to recommend using Procion fiber-reactive dyes. Dharma carries them in 100 colors so I'm sure you'll find one you like! They are color fast and never ever bleed. Dharma does have instructions for using this type of dye in a washing machine, but you could look at the tub-dyeing instructions as well.

Pearl in Cambridge, MA has closed as well. The Artists & Craftsman Supply across the street from the old Pearl is great, though.

We store ours in a cool, dark spot in the basement inside cardboard boxes. They keep longer if you don't wash the dirt off before storing. Our root veggies are from our CSA so they come to us dirty - I don't know how well it would work with washed veggies from the supermarket. I do like the looks of the rack at Gardener's supply, though!

I used to do these with my kindergarten art students, but we made the scene inside with model magic clay. I would add a spoonful of "snow" (iridescent glitter) before they sealed them up with glue.

Apple cider doughnuts are one of the few things left that I still really miss since being diagnosed with celiac disease. I'd love to find a gluten-free recipe that works. (Or better yet, find a gluten-free bakery that has them!)
