Oooh, I adore navy walls. We painted a room navy once and it was gorgeous, but we had to move 6 months later... this is tempting me to do it again!

We have a patterned couch with great lines that doesn't show spills too terribly and cleans well with club soda. We plan to reupholster once the kiddos are bigger. Our strategy is to always be on the lookout for good, sturdy pieces from stores during floor sample sales. We figure the little ones will nick and scratch the wood anyway. Down the road when we're past this stage we can re-stain the good wood pieces, and in the meantime we can cover any dramatic issues with trays and books.

That'll keep babysitters on their toes!

@freyamix- the bed is actually borrowed from a friend who borrowed it from a friend! We're not sure where it originally was purchased.

I appreciate this post. Carrie is not suggesting that it become a censored site; rather that we consider what we say before we say it... and that we would be kind to each other and not make each other miserable & insecure. It's a pattern in the commenting, not only something that only pertains to the laundry room post. Well said Ohdeedoh.
