I'm a bit late on this - but I'm LEED Certified and based on the specs for KraftMaid, they're being environmentally conscious. They don't meed LEED standards and don't reference any USGBC requirements or Certified Wood, etc, requirements, but they are in the middle. They are better than the other vendors, in that they are making a transition to be more eco-friendly. They are citing legitimate references and sources and the fact that wood and other items have to be third-party certified is good. I would say they're probably pretty on-par with Ikea - so it would just be up to your budget and style preferences. Ikea is good, but they don't cite many sources for eco-friendliness or certified wood.
