@Foodforthoughtlinds Thanks for posting your comments and links. People tend to think that every kid that has a limited palate is either being stubborn and/or the parents are being lazy and not pushing the healthy stuff. My son has sensory integration problems and family members are always commenting on how few things he eats. I get grief for the chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. Those people don't see the fact that he loves cottage cheese because it's mild and he won't eat hot dogs because the salt and all the flavoring are intolerable to him. Please don't judge the parents of picky kids. More often than not there is something bigger going on than a controlling child and weak parents. In Defense of \"Kid Food\" |

I recently did my kitchen over and got "pesto" colored cabinets. Everyone thought I was crazy. I kept the walls white and did the trim cream. I looks so fresh. I love it. Paint Color Portfolio: Pale Green Kitchens |

I totally agree with 2 lbs per person, too. I had 10 people over last year and got a 20 lb bird. It was the perfect amount. We got a good amount of leftover ourselves, and who ever wanted to take some with them could. Nothing went to waste. How Much Turkey Per Person? Use This Rule of Thumb |

I definitively make it. About once a month I cook a 7lb chicken in the slow cooker. Once it's done and cool enough to handle, I get all the meat off. Then I put all the bones, skin, and cartilage back in the pot with an onion, some celery, a carrot or whatever else I feel like throwing in. Then I cover everything with water, set it on low, and let it go all night. By morning I have the most amazing stock. All I have to do is strain! Make or Buy? Chicken Stock |

We remodeled our kitchen last fall and we went with Cambria quartz counters. I LOVE them. They are really durable, maintenance free and food safe. Also, you get a lot more appearance than you can with granite. My cabinet and counter colors compliment each other beautifully. Ultimate Guide to Choosing Countertops: Pros & Cons |

I make these banana peanut butter drop cookies for my son and he eats them for breakfast. I don't use as much sugar as the recipe calls for and I omit the chopped peanuts. I also add a little vanilla and cinnamon. You could really change it up however you want. Next time I'm going to try 1/2 peanut butter 1/2 nutella! http://www.livestrong.com/recipes/vickys-banana-peanut-butter-oatmeal-cookies/ Looking for Breakfast Recipes Packed With Oatmeal!
