It's fairly easy and I say this now because I have struggled with my weight since I was a teenager. I found the key and that is to stay active or workout from 30 minutes to an hour a day and eat as healthy as you possibly can. Indulge every now and then, not everyday. Eat REAL food - mainly fruits and veggies. Never deny yourself of anything because you'll just end up beating yourself up about it. And most of all, enjoy life. It's not about spending 2 hours at the gym only to eat a small portion of salad a day. WE all know that's not healthy.

I love your use of elements of color. There's a touch of romantic yet edgy antique elegance in your style. Very well done!

A lot of wonderful kitchen adventure for me over the holidays that I am extremely grateful for. My husband and I hosted a small holiday sit down dinner for his coworkers at our place. I was completely nervous because it was my first time hosting a lovely sit down dinner and about 6 months pregnant into it, but thankfully everyone had a great time! It was an Italian night and I made bruschetta for appetizer. I made Fuji apple walnut salad for our salad dish. And for our entrees, I made creamy bowtie pasta cooked in mushrooms and sundried tomatoes, a simple spaghetti cooked in olive oil, garlic, grape tomatoes, and basil, oven roasted spatchcock chicken, and meatballs cooked in slow cooker. The guest were responsible for desserts. I made coffee and tea to compliment them and I had such a great time!

For our Christmas Eve party at my brother's home, our family gathers for potluck. I made Pastelon which is a Puerto Rican lasagna (recipe given to me by a best friend), Pinakbet (my mom's famous Filipino recipe cooked in pork slices, garlic, onion, tomatoes, eggplant, bittermelon, okra, long beans, and lima beans) and Red Velvet cupcakes topped with cream cheese icing.

I LOVE being in my kitchen and enjoying every minute of it!

I guess for my husband and I, we fall in category # 2 - simplicity interiors. Funny thing is when we first bought the tree, he wanted to decorate it with as many colors as possible. However, I wanted a mixture of cream, gold, red, and white trimmings. We couldn't agree until I came to the conclusion of asking him what his fave color is and he said blue. Then he asked me what my favorite color is too, and I also said blue! So that's why we have a wide range array of blue and silver decorations on our Christmas tree. We add on pieces of ornaments every year. We both love our Christmas tree and we look forward in putting it up every year! We're putting ours up today! Yayyy!

Check out Homegoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls for silverware, placemats, and runners. I recommend Ikea and Crate and Barrel outlet for beautiful affordable plates and glassware. My advice is to keep it simple. Avoid buying too many things you don't need. Remember that the food will do most of the color and flavor. Buy a few vases and fill it up with flowers. Have fun and enjoy the moment.

I am a Soup Girl all the way. You name it - Pho, Udon, Arroz Caldo, Congee, Mami, Real Chinese Wonton Noodle soup , Batchoy, Miswa, Muligatawny soup, I LOVE SOUP! And I gotta have some Sriracha sauce with it.

I am Filipino with Spanish ancestors so my asian tastebuds go a long way. I just love food. I'm not picky and I eat anything and everything. My favorite is spicy and hot Indian food! Muttar paneer, samosa, garlic naan, lamb biryani, rogan josh and I can keep going but I need to stop because my mouth is drooling. I also love a good tofu basil fried rice with loads of hot chili thai peppers. As you can see, I love spicy too! And don't get me started on dumplings----literally every country out there has their own form of dumpling! I love it!!!

I bet this is such a treat to come home to. It's bright, fun, and cozy. Good use of space. The decor and accessories you have are just right and not over cramp. I am a pillow-loving-maniac also and I absolutely understand what you're talking about. Great job!

although I love how clean and white everything is, it is also rather too dull for my taste. Great space and very roomie. Heck, they both could afford it! If this is what makes them happy at the end of the day, more power to them. I love, love the nest bed.
