Of course it's safe to eat. My farmer grandfather always said that if there's a worm on your apple (corn) that's the one you should eat; if the worms like it means it's good. An Unavoidable Surprise in Organic Corn: Worms! |

Juneberries are so wonderful! I'm about to harvest juneberries from 10 different trees around my office campus (nobody has ever been interested in them)! There will be a small batch of jam and a pie (or two). From the Front Yard: One Small Jar of Juneberry Jam |

Buy. I wouldn't know where to start to make it!! Plus, there are certain in-progress odors (fermenting foods being the biggest one) that I don't like because I was overwhelmed with them growing up. Give me the finished product in this case. Make or Buy? Kimchi |

@Luca81 - it's also known as "koshering salt". The term "kosher salt" is not from its being made in accordance with the guidelines for kosher food but rather due to its use in making meats kosher. You can have organic kosher salt. It has the "small, flake-like form" useful in treating meat. It's different in crystal form from table salt, usually has no additives, and is the preferred salt for cooking/baking. Weekend Breakfast Recipe: Crunchy Pecan Waffles |

@hipcheck is right! Bring on the corn-chini! A "healthier, happier corn dog" would involve excluding the "dog" completely. That just looks disgusting and unappetizing. Zucchini Weenies: A Healthier Corn Dog? |

So, are the children locked up in a separate room/house, away from the white furniture, 24/7? I can't see any other way to keep that furniture its original color. More stark, impersonal, & non-DIY than my taste but gorgeous nonetheless. The Stathoulis' Mid-Wilshire Wonder House Tour |

It's a beautiful modern house when open. So, yes, I'd live there. However, I would need to turn it into a "closed system", capable of withstanding long sieges & self-sustainable, in case of the Apocalypse (regular or zombie flavored). Would You Live in This Safe House? |

@fulinlin Then @Eelie should have written an actual sentence that makes sense instead of a patronizing-sounding fragment, IMHO. I didn't understand what that comment was getting at either. Simple Green: Recycle Water from Washing Salad Greens |

I second @cremedela. I don't see the problem. My bamboo cutting board takes up very little non-dedicated, non-intrusive space. I also use it as a trivet, cheese board, tray. It's used every day even if nothing's being diced/cut/chopped.

Unlike Amy Elizabeth I love the empty frames. They provide much needed texture and interest to the stairs. I think if there were photos of loved ones in the frames it would look like COMMON, typical suburbia. And would make it look cluttered. It's completely not my "thing" but I can see that a lot of work and thought went into the home. Kristin's Uncommon Slice of Suburbia House Tour |
