I recognize your apt from the Candy Party! Another inspirational party- amazing!

The kids planted the flowers in the beginning. I came fully stocked with brand new aprons, paper towels and wipes. I think one kid used an apron and everything else went untouched!
The kids are 3 so each was helped by a parent (or me). I had a (new) small plastic garbage can filled with dirt and a few trowels. The dirt that got on the kids basically brushed right off. Also, it was very important to keep the watering can off to the side otherwise everything would have been mud.
The kids did it as they arrived at the party so there really was never more than 3 kids planting at any time.

Saw this at an Anthro store like 10 years ago- they had it in a "swoosh" across the wall- it would look great on a smaller scale, which would minimize.... omg the duuuuuuust

My jaw dropped when I saw the price of the play table ($199)! Especially b/c it's basically a slightly bigger version of the Ikea Lack ($12.99)

YES! I searched and searched for a blue stroller for my son 2.5 years ago and all I could find then was this clunker:

I happened to pass by and stop at EAT on Madison Ave and there is was- the elusive plain blue umbrella stroller!

I got one of these after I heard about strollers stollen form the Bronx Zoo (which we frequent). I ended up with this brand b/c at first I bought a bulky chain and lock from our hardware store and this just seemed like a much easier solution.

I did this also! I scanned fabric from my son's nursery, then printed it on cardstock and glued it to the front of the box in the shape of the label (I had the newborn wipes so it's a white translucent box).
I still use it 4.5 years later (and made one for my daughter 2.5 years ago)!

Thanks for the great vid!
For those of us with no formal training in design, every bit helps. :)
Though I can't imagine cooking in a warm toned kitchen- I think I would spontaneously combust if I wasn't surrounded by the whites and aquas in my kitchen.

So cute- I can never get enough yellow and grey! And I just have to say that my Dad's name is Sam and his birthday is 7/13 too!

We too are a hardcore Nosefrida family. We've been using them since my 3.5 yr old was a newborn, and we still use it for him and his sister (he refuses to blow his nose and Nosefrida gets the job done quickly and well).

edw- A trick we learned is that if you hold the baby's hands above her head with your hand, her arms are so short that they hold her head in place and you still have a free hand.

I made a wood-burned portrait of my husband and me for our anniversary. It's really easy- I just printed a pic of us and traced the lines I wanted from the picture onto the wood and went over it with a wood-burner.

Brilliant! I never thought of taping the inside. I always tape the outside of the toy, and before long the tape is gone.

Ikea makes long white plastic cord holders that stick to the wall and you push the cord inside. My apt doesn't have much hard-wired lighting so I use the cord holders all over. It's a couple bucks for a bag of them.

Thanks Mrs.J!
Also, I put the CDs and egg shakers in these bags:

The colors looked really cute, and I figured people could re-use them. They make a bunch of different patterns.
