Oh man, I just had this dilemma. I ended up donating because, when you're moving, there are SO MANY OTHER THINGS TO DO. Donating means one trip to the Goodwill collection box. Selling meant a garage sale, craigslist, or haggling with the lady at the resale shop. Also, selling my old clothes, lamps, etc. was never realistically going to fund my cross-country move.
