You lived in Torino??? Where? We lived there for five years, moving back to the UK in 2010. Our place overlooked the Mole, the giardini reali and the old city walls. I still miss it but we go back frequently.

Your flat is lovely and you have done an artful job balancing shades of gelato with the minimalist lines of your furniture. Your bold art choices as the third counterpoint are wonderful and give weight to the more ethereal elements. The bathroom made me smile as I thought of La Gelateria delle Alpi on Via Po.......

I am on assignment in Bishkek at present and have just come from lunch in a Kyrgyz yurt in the mountains above the capital. The mountain countryside is still a bit cold at this time of year but the felted warmth of the yurt's interior meant that we could dine without jackets or blankets.

This flat is a stunner and yet another advert for BIG ART on the walls. Between the layout, the layers, the lanterns, the forsythia and the plants, there is a lot to love. Well done.

How you managed to squeeze so much richness out of monochrome is remarkable. The layering is wonderful - so much so that each time I've gone through the photos again, I've discovered some new aspect I had not seen previously. Superb.

The floor plan alone would have been enough to make you a favorite. But you completely cinched it with the Studio Supper Club. Anyone who places that kind of priority on good food. warm surroundings and wonderful friends should run their own small country.

An outstanding house tour and exactly why people like me were first attracted to AT. You've taken some interesting decisions regarding how to use the space. And then you made it beautiful, with just the right tension between minimalism and clutter. The fact that you and your husband have lived in this 425 square foot flat for seven years is a testimony to your creativity and commitment to a certain kind of lifestyle - simple yet interesting. Very well done.

Painting the armoire is an excellent idea - perhaps another shade of grey that gives a new dimension to the existing greys in the room? Other wonderful aspects are the stripes in the kitchen (reminiscent of a Penguin classics book cover) and the unmatched seating in the living room. Kudos to the artist of the painting above the sofa. It is beautiful.
