I'm Roberto from Casa Kids and wanted to make a comment in regards to changing the sheets in these beds. It's true, it's not fun. The trick is to use a thin mattress (6" or 7" thick) that bends easily at the corners so you can lift it and put the fitted sheets in place. For a top bunk never use a heavy, spring mattresses that are very rigid. In addition to this, I always make my bunk beds strong enough for adults to safely go up and I also make the stairs easy to climb with enough cut outs to hold yourself. @DUCKSTER, @SHERRYBINNH, the main reason why I did these beds 6" narrower than the standard twin size is that this room is only 5 feet wide so with a twin bed opened there was not enough space to walk around it. In my opinion, twin mattresses at 39" wide are unnecessarily wide for a child. Instead the standard 75" length can be a bit short for a growing teenager. In any case, I will be doing a version for standard twin mattresses. Double Murphy Bunk Bed by Casa Kids |

Well, I'm the designer and want to make a couple of points here. First, I agree with DUANE HILL's comments about the need of extra hand holding as you climb up the stairs (we are working on an improved design already) and MPHEELS comments about a more substantial guard rail at the top. We have already an improved version that soon will posted on our site. Double Murphy Bunk Bed by Casa Kids |

Hi. I designed this room and wanted to answer Charmgirl's question. The beds fit regular twin size mattresses. I just made them 1/2" shorter than the standard so they would fit along the wall. My beds are normally 76 1/2" long and these are 76". Thanks for your comments! A Custom Bunk Solution for Four Sisters |
